ROCKAWAY, NEW JERSEY · YOUTH BASKETBALL

Develop. Trust. Regulate.

A youth boys basketball team built on a shared love for the sport.

Who We Are

A beginner team.

The Rockaway Regulators exist to give a group of 12 players, ages 10-11, something worth working for — a real team, real competition, and a responsibility to make the right play. These boys have supportive families and a love for basketball.

What they don't have is an indoor court to use in bad weather.

Fundraising

Help us put them on a court.

This group of boys do not have access to indoor gyms. This past winter when they were ready to play outside, no matter the conditions, it only made it clear how much they love basketball.

Every hour of practice during the winter will have to be paid for. That's what we're raising money for — nothing more, nothing less. Just court time for kids who've already shown they'll show up.

Buy popcorn

We're running a Double Good gourmet popcorn pop-up. Half of every sale goes to Double Good, the rest goes directly to time on an indoor court.

How We Play

The Regulators Code.

01

Team first, always

Every player in practice has one job beyond his own development: make the guy across from him work. Hard defense sharpens offense. Smart offense sharpens defense. When both players are locked in, they push each other further than any coach could from the sideline.

02

Read before you act

Great players see what's happening before it happens. Every rep in practice is a chance to sharpen that.

03

Development over comfort

Working hard combined with purpose separates the good from the great.

04

Failing is how you grow

If you're not failing when practicing, you're not trying. This is a safe place to try hard things and be creative. Every player is here to develop.

Team Area

Players & parents, this way.

Profiles, stats, badges, drills, schedules, and announcements live inside the team area. The profiles are a fun way for players to stay motivated and track their own and their teammates development — and it's where the  Starting Five for upcoming tournaments are announced. Players and parents can see the practice stats for each player — being a starter is earned by working hard with purpose and making the right plays in practice. That's how you earn your spot to repesent the Regulators in tournaments.

Accounts are created by the coaches. New players are welcome. If you need access, have questions, reach out below.

Player Progression

Every rep counts.
Every session is tracked.

Coaches track performance across every practice. Players earn their way through the ranks to take a spot on the starting five. This removes any questions about how much gametime a player deserves. The players can decide their own role by showing up for training and being locked in.
